Trogir Boat Tour: Island Routes and Cruises

Choose a Trogir boat tour by the shape of your day

A Trogir boat tour can mean a short island circuit or a full day built around more distant stops. Begin with how much time you want to spend away from town. The half-day speedboat takes five hours, the wooden-boat cruise takes eight hours, and the five-island outing with Hvar and the Blue Cave takes ten to eleven hours. Those are different commitments, even before comparing meals and departure points.

For a day centred on swimming at Krknjaši near Drvenik Veliki, use the dedicated Blue Lagoon guide. This page compares boat formats and longer routes. If you want a boat for your own party, the private tours page covers that separate choice.

Island hopping from Trogir

The five-island outing is the long-distance choice here. Its ten to eleven hours make it suitable for a day devoted to the sea rather than a quick addition to a city walk. The programme combines Hvar and the Blue Cave, which is a different destination from the Blue Lagoon near Drvenik. Keep those names separate when choosing a route: a cave-focused island day and a lagoon swimming trip answer different wishes.

The long outing includes an English-speaking skipper and guide, waterproof jackets and use of a snorkelling mask. Choose it for its route rather than treating a general fees inclusion as a specific cave admission ticket. For the Trogir departure, the meeting point is in front of Kamerlengo fortress. The alternative departure in Split belongs to a different start option.

Speedboat or wooden boat?

The five-hour speedboat circuit is the shorter format. Its included equipment comprises snorkelling gear, safety gear and windproof jackets; bottled water, fuel and insurance are also included, alongside the driver and guide. This is the option to consider when you want an island outing while keeping more of the day available for Trogir itself.

The eight-hour wooden-boat cruise combines the Blue Lagoon and Šolta. Lunch, beverages, snorkelling equipment and live commentary are included. Its start is on the Čiovo side of Trogir port, unlike the speedboat meeting point at Kamerlengo. Choose between these formats by route, time and the value of an included meal, rather than expecting every boat to provide the same service.

If your main interest is the coast close to town, compare the land-based choices on Čiovo too. A beach visit lets you organise the day around a particular place; an island cruise organises it around the boat's programme.

Departing from Trogir

Use the exact meeting point for the selected departure. Kamerlengo is a landmark for the half-day speedboat and the Trogir start of the longer five-island trip. Meeting outside the fortress is part of joining the boat, so schedule any fortress visit separately. The wooden boat starts across the port on the Čiovo side; its port pickup and drop-off refers to the harbour arrangements.

Šolta on an island route

The eight-hour cruise includes Šolta in its programme. For information about the island beyond the boat outing, continue to Šolta. Keep the booking decision here focused on the departure from Trogir, the included lunch and the time reserved for the trip.

Hvar and the longer sea day

Hvar belongs to the longer five-island choice. Explore Hvar island if you want to understand the destination before choosing that route. A Trogir boat trip with Hvar suits a day set aside for island travel, while the shorter speedboat format leaves a different balance between town and sea.

Weather and a flexible plan

Leave room for weather decisions when arranging a sea outing. Operators may cancel for weather, and the skipper makes that decision. Keep an old-town visit as a practical alternative rather than building your entire stay around boats. The season and weather guide gives regional context; use the forecast for the actual day when deciding what to carry.
